Bartlett High School Announcement List
(and posted e-mail addresses)

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:To enter your name, use this format -
Make sure that you use the curly braces!! {year} {perm} I am using a script that pulls these two things out of the subscription list automatically and if you use (parentheses) it won't work!

Last name (previous name, if wanted), First name {graduation year} {permission to list }

However you list your name before the first { bracket will be how it is shown in the list of alumni. Do use parentheses to show a previous name.
{graduation year} if you graduated from another school, just put down the year that you wish to be listed with. Faculty and staff should enter {fac}
{permission to list} if you want to have your e-mail address listed so that everyone can see it, enter {y} or {yes} or {Y} or {YES}. This means that various web-bots could add your address to a spam list. (But it also means that your friends can see your e-mail address.) If you enter {at}, your email will be listed similar to prtryon 'at' alaska.net. It is thought that such a format is harder to be automatically harvested and put on a spam list. Anything else (or skip it) and you won't be posted. You will still get your yearly invitation to the Alumni Tea though.

Examples:
Tryon (Smith), Peter {1981} {y}
Tryon, Peter {2005} {no}
Tryon, Peter {fac} {Yes}
Tryon, Peter {1995} {at}

Note that when you subscribe, a message will be sent to your e-mail address that you will need to click on to confirm the subscription. This should reduce the number of bogus entries. (the notice might show up in your junk mail folder - sorry) After you subscribe, you can expect you name to show up by the next Sunday evening.

If you mess up, unsubscribe yourself and try again. (to unsubscribe, you only have to include your e-mail address, not your name.) Or e-mail me directly at prtryon@alaska.net
