(as of 2005 or thereabouts): I was 'invited' to join the Bartlett alumni page hosted by Alumni Archive, Inc. This is a commercial, for-profit site that appears to do a good job of hosting alumni information. From a quick look, it seems that they give you full access for 6 months when you sign up, allowing you to see everything and e-mail people (with a blind connection - their e-mail addresses are hidden from you (and the general public), but the message goes through. At the end of six months, you remain listed, but you need to pay money to still make the connections.
I would suggest reading the Terms of Service fairly carefully.
I am signed up and will look at it some more, but will probably not pay money to maintain my membership. (If 10 people mention my e-mail (prtryon@alaska.net) when they sign up, I will get free membership...)
I hope to have most of this functionality on this site eventually, but probably not with as smooth an interface.

June 2007 : An alumna sent the link to http://bartlettak.alumniclass.com/. I just signed up for it. It looks very good (not commercial at all), but it is unclear who is operating it. I will post some more information as I learn about it. If it is as it says it is, maybe we can all shift over to it and disband this site...
